It’s the PERRYMAN PASS
I am setting myself a goal and I need your help, could you please help me?
By Friday 22 November I would like every child in the school to bring a piece of work they are proud of and show me.
What does your child need? The PERRYMAN PASS, a piece of work they are proud of and a smile.
How can you help?
- Explain how your child will use their PERRYMAN PASS.
- Print the PERRYMAN PASS.
- Ask your child to put the PERRYMAN PASS in their bag.
- The rest is up to your child.
- Let’s have some fun with learning.
- Read next week’s newsletter to see how I’m going.

When should I stop reading to my child?
The short answer - they are never too old!
Reading a book to your child is more than teaching them the skills of reading. Sharing a story builds bonds with your child and is a special time, especially at the end of a busy day. Kids want to spend time with their parents. Reading a chapter of a novel to your child in Year 4, 5 or 6 is a great way to spend time together. It also:
- Encourages reading
- Helps with comprehension and vocabulary
- Helps you understand your child’s interest
- Gives you something else to talk about together
- Can be a springboard into important conversations about characters that reflect real life experiences
You can read books one or two years above your child’s reading ability. Here are some great websites for book ideas:

Headlice
Please be advised that we have had reported cases of nits/head lice in the hair of some students within our school.
Please check your child’s hair for nits/lice tonight using the methods recommended in information from NSW Health.
If you find any eggs or lice please commence treatment as recommended.
Further information on head lice is available on the NSW Health website.
Please make sure that you child brings their lunch pouch to school on a Monday, if they are ordering lunch from the canteen. Students are not required to supply a bag for recess treats.
We still require volunteers urgently, could you please contact the office if you are able to help.
Also, cut off time for Qkr orders are 9am. Please cancel your order before 9am, through Qkr, if you child will not be attending school on that day.
Today we celebrated our Festival of Grandparents. We began the day by celebrating Mass, which Junior Primary prepared. Mass was followed by morning tea and activities in classrooms. Thank you to all the grandparents and grand friends that joined us for the celebration. Thank you to volunteers who supported activities in the classrooms.
