Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for your great support at this time. We appreciate you monitoring the health and wellbeing of your children and keeping them home if they have signs of coughs, colds, sort throats and flu-like symptoms. Thank you for helping your children understand the importance of good hygiene practices with sneezes and coughs (into elbows), and thorough washing and sanitising of hands. Social distancing in a primary setting is not an easy aspect of community life that we are encouraged to adopt. The things we are doing are ‘distant hugs, hi-5’s, fist bumps’ we are smiling and waving at each other as our greeting and ‘spirit fingers’ are making an appearance too.

Michael Rheinberger Award

On Monday we presented the award to a student who demonstrated the characteristics of Michael Rheinberger at the recent school swimming carnival. We congratulated many students who were nominated by both staff and students: Ella Taylor, Deakin Saye, Ava Salway, Robert Stewart, Ivy Smith, Payton Alcock, Maddie Woods, Brodie Irvin, Devlin Needham, Sonia Myers, Blake Bateman and Lincoln Thompson. Congratulations to this year’s recipient: Blake Bateman!

We congratulate Brooke Scott on her amazing achievement at the Australian at the Appaloosa National Show 2020 and Appaloosa NSW State show 2020 held at K Ranch Mt Hunter NSW 10th - 15th March. The National show judge; Nancy Right USA; State show judge; Joanne Gregory AU.

Brooke has been training very hard especially for the last 6 weeks before hand. With the bush fires we didn’t think we would make it this year but what a success.
Brooke is self upgrading to the lope and canter classes next season. She said she would like more of a challenge. Go Brooke!

NAPLAN PRACTICE TEST
All schools are expected to have a practice NAPLAN test next week. We will have our practice test on Tuesday from 9-11.
The purpose of the test is to iron out any technical challenges, trail the extensive internet usage and give students the opportunity to sit the test.
We will be keeping this experience as low key as possible to help our students remain calm and able to concentrate. We ask that you do the same.
As It is a practice test there will be no results. Please see me if you have any questions.
