SPORTS NEWS
On Monday twenty-three St Pat's kids travelled to Narooma to compete at the Southern Region swimming carnival. There were plenty of nerves but everyone tried their hardest, and our kids were a credit to their school for their attitude and participation all day. Thanks to the parents and grandparents for transporting our students and being a wonderful cheer squad. A big thanks to Ian Gowing who spent all day time-keeping.
9 St Pat’s students are going on to the Archdiocesan Carnival in Boorowa. Congratulations to our Senior girls relay team of Charlotte, Alice, Isabella and Arly who won this event in Narooma. Our Junior boys and girls teams both came third, but only two teams move forward. Our individual swimmers are: Austin, Tilly, Ava, Mia, Arly, Isabella and Henry.
A special commendation for Henry as he won every event he participated in, and was awarded equal junior boy champion!
Well done to all those children who represented St Pat's at Narooma.
The next representative team sport is football (soccer). This trial will be held in Lyneham, Canberra on Tuesday 9th April, cost $15. As usual, this is open to children in Year 5 and 6 who have played soccer at a local representative level. If you are interested in your child attending please contact the school to see if your child meets the requirements needed to participate.
