FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents and Carers,
This week has been a week of focussed learning for our students with many of them being recognised at morning assembly, and throughout learning and play, for demonstrating St Pat's Kids behaviours. I was thrilled to have many students come and visit me to share their learning journals, others shared when I visited their classrooms. Many students proudly show a growing number of St Pat's stickers that they have been awarded for their behaviours for learning and engagement.
Yesterday I had the privilege of spending quality time in Kinder during their Maths block. I was so impressed by the students engagement and readiness to learn. In groups they were using dominoes to 'make 9,' some students found the single dominoes with 9 dots, others found 2 or even 3 dominoes where the sum of the dots was 9. There was great mathematical language, 'I need more,' 'I have too many,' '6 and 3 more is nine,' etc being shared between the students. After Maths the children enjoyed a few minutes of reading time.

Tenison has a second vice captain! We congratulate Cindy and welcome her to the student leadership team. Cindy presented her speech and statement to Mrs Ferris and myself and attended an interview. Cindy, alongside Isabella, will support the captains Claire and Isaac in their sport team leadership. As the senior primary teachers set up the class parliament we look forward to announcing some further ministries and ministers from Year 6.
Blessings on a family centred weekend.
